 Editable Template

In an editable template, the author can easily configure which components are allowed or not on the page. The author can easily update or change anything on the page using an editable template.

Steps to create an editable template.

• Goto > tools > general > Configuration Browser.

• Click on Create button to create a folder > Add the title of the folder > and check the Editable template > click create button
  
  
• Then you will find your created folder Here

• Goto tools > general >Templates > here you will find the folder that you have created.

• Open that folder > click create > select HTML5Page > Next button

• Enter the name for your template > Click create button.
• To make modifications > click on open.

• Now here you can define which component you want to allow on this template just drag and drop it here. drag a component from the left side and drop on “Drag component here”

• And make sure that you have unlocked the container to unlock the container click on the lock button.
• And by clicking on the policy button you can set  the component that you want to allow on this template

How to create components using this template

• goto > tools > general > template > open your folder-> and select the template and click enable button

• Lets we want to create a page under English in  We retail > United States > English

• First of all, we need to attach our template in English to attach the template in English go to
• http://localhost:4502/crx/de/index.jsp
• And here in conf->your folder->settings > template > your template
• And copy the yellow highlighted path in the Image.

• Goto > sites we Retail > United State > check the English > properties

• Click to Advanced >  Scroll bottom to Template Setting > Clik on add button > paste the template path > save and close

• Now click We retail > United States > English->Create button > page > select your template > next button
• Add your page title > click create button > Done

• Now you can check that page is created in English using an editable template.
• If you open your page in the editable mode you can use here your allowed components easily.
